A lot of the blame in the world seems to be placed on ourselves. But when we realize that we have to be responsible for what we do, when we realize what we have to do to be a good person and make a difference, well then we realize that we have responsibility and that is a big part of feeling good about ourselves. Even if it is hard to realize sometimes.
I think this is a concept that can apply to a lot of people. We can all be so wrapped up in our own selves that we forget to treat others the way we would like to be treated. We can be a little oblivious to the fact that many people around us are struggling just like we are.
You can feel good about yourself and be good about yourself. But not so much that we can fall all the way down to our knees in the midst of that much effort. By doing that, we can be good, and we move towards good, and we can turn into good people.
We can think about this in a different way, but it’s never too soon to think about it. We are not the only people who are trying to be good people. You can make a difference in others, but you can also make a difference in you.
