This is not the sad cover photo because I know that I am not alone in this. I actually think of this cover photo as a representation of the way I am. So while I’m sad, I’m actually not. I’m sad because I am not happy. I’m sad because I am not productive.
So what do you do when you’re not productive? You go on a binge binge binge binge binge. You go on a binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge.
Oh right, the usual binge. One drink binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge binge. You know, like the way I did the first day of college. Like the way I did the first night of college. Like the way I did the first day of spring break.
The first thing you should do when you are not productive is binge. But there will come a time when you will feel like you have to binge more so that you can do more things because you cannot stop. One of the things that I think is essential to making sure that you’re productive is finding something that you are passionate about and then finding a way to make it work for you so that you can do it.
I think that first couple of weeks of my freshman year of college were the best weeks of my life. Because I was completely committed to doing something that I loved so much, I was able to make friends and try new things. I found a passion with music that I didn’t even know existed.
It could be that you just found something that you were passionate about, but we all do that. The thing is, if you’re already in the habit of doing something that you love and then find a way to make it work for you, then you’ll probably never be able to put it down.
I think most of us tend to avoid doing things that we love because it’s just not something that works for us. We want a way to put it off, we want the feeling to go away. Unfortunately, this is a self-defeating habit. If you could put it off, you would have no reason to do it. You’d still feel like it was a waste of time. So what you’ll end up doing is making yourself miserable.
A recent study in the Journal of Personality and Individual Differences found that people who were willing to put off something they loved because they thought it would get in the way of their social life tended to be happier and more successful. I think that’s probably why we tend to avoid things that we love. We just don’t have the self-awareness to figure out why the things we love are important to us.
Yeah, I feel like I’ve been saying this for a while, but I can’t help but find this one of the most depressing looking cover photos I’ve ever seen. Even more depressing is that this cover photo has been around for so long that it’s almost as if they’ve forgotten what they looked like.
