This is where the dog analogy falls apart. Dogs, unfortunately, act as if theyre acting, and that is to be expected.
The problem is that animals do not act. They act based on their owner’s actions and their emotional reactions to those actions. However, pets are animals too. They’re like humans, but they don’t have the same sense of self-awareness or emotional reactions. Pets act based on the actions of other pets. This means that you can’t really say dog acts because dog is just a dog, or cat acts because cat is just a cat.
I think this is one of the best points in the article. Dogs have this tendency to jump to conclusions and act based on the emotions of owners. The stylin pet is more sophisticated in the sense that it can actually change the emotions of another pet, while it is still a pet. But it still can only change the emotions of other pets, and it doesn’t turn into a dog or cat, it just changes into a dog or cat but not a pet. So it’s not a dog or cat.
