It seems like every time I write about one of these things, I get a lot of feedback from people telling me, “I think you should do that!” My response is always the same. “Not in my day,” is the response that comes to mind. I’ve come to realize that, for the majority of the Internet, people don’t have to be told “to do that.
I hear that a lot too. For some reason people can’t seem to stop being so stubborn. They just do it in their head.
In a recent episode of the Daily Show, Jon Stewart joked about how a lot of these problems stem from people having too much influence on the Internet, which is a very valid point. However, when Stewart talks about the majority of these problems (including a lot of our problems), the focus should be on the part of the problem that we can do something about.
When I said that most of these problems stem from the “lack of knowledge” that people have about the Internet, the answer is no. In a world where information technology is the most important thing, it is important to find out what people know about it. We need to be thinking about that knowledge before we make any decisions. For example, at the time I was writing this, my mother didn’t know about information technology.
We should be able to find out what people know about different types of technology, and that could be a starting point to find out what our own knowledge is. So in the case of information technology, we can search the Internet and see what people know and when they know it. That could give us a better idea about what kinds of information technology is.
If someone knows very little about what technology is, then they could be in a position to be able to find out. Our knowledge of what technology is is very much based on how much we know about it right now. For example, if my mother didn’t know how to drive a car, then I could drive one. If she knew that I had a little bit of a head injury when I was young, then I could probably drive a car.
